Seeing lots of Subacromial Impingement (SAI) in the clinic at the moment! This is a condition which i studied at great lengths for my dissertation due to its multi-factorial nature, complexity to treat and due to the fact i have suffered with it!

Quick facts!

* Most commonly affects your supraspinatus and long head of biceps tendons and sub-acromial bursa (a fat pad)
* Can present as pain with overhead movements and at night when lying on the affected side
* Treatment can include rest, ice, acupuncture, strengthening exercises, mobilization, soft tissue massage and manipulation
* In severe or chronic cases a corticosteroid injection or surgery can be indicated
