This week marks the grueling Ironman Wales course which many of our patients at both Align Therapies clinics are taking part in, along with 2500 other people!
Ironman Wales covers distances of 2.4km swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2mil run, all in under 17 hours!
Why do people do the Ironman Wales race?
- One of the toughest races in the world
- A shot at qualification for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii
- World class spectators
- Race in the Welsh seaside village
IRONMAN Wales begins on Tenby’s North Beach, which provides one of the most spectacular swim locations on the race circuit. Despite challenging bike and run courses, athletes are treated to consistent and motivating inspiration from some of the most vocal and enthusiastic spectators in endurance sports.
Over the past few months, we have had many patients who have been training hard for the race and we have treated the aches & pains that go along with such extreme training!
Good luck to all our patients and everyone else doing IMW – you are all IronPeople!!!
